Summary:

The course will cover strategies and techniques required to produce, purify, and characterize multi-protein and protein/nucleic acid complexes.

Topics include: the production of complex components in bacteria, yeast, insect and mammalian cells; isolation of complexes using affinity purification techniques; biocomputational, biochemical and biophysical characterization; and structural characterization by X-ray crystallography, NMR, cryo-EM, and small angle X-ray or neutron scattering. The course is mainly directed at senior Ph.D students and post-docs working in structural biology.
